Banc of California Stadium will be Angel City FC’s official home field.

Angel City makes its home in the heart of Los Angeles. Surrounded by the diversity and energy of DTLA, this stadium has already been a big part of ACFC’s history (but you didn’t know it until now).   

On April 19th, 2019, the USWNT and Belgium played a friendly match at the Banc. Angel City FC wasn’t yet a kernel of an idea but this match was really day one of our journey.  That night, Kara Nortman and Natalie Portman attended their first women’s match together and Natalie even brought some of her closest friends to enjoy the game --  Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Garner, Eva Longaria, and Uzo Aduba -- now ACFC Founding Investors.  The energy of the crowd and the skill of the players left Natalie asking “why isn’t there a professional women’s team in LA.” Later, she stopped asking why and decided to do it herself.  Angel City FC was born. 

That “this-experience-is-so-inspiring-I-want-to-start-a-women’s-soccer-team” — is what Banc of California Stadium creates with every seat at every game. Built with seats angling  34 degrees, it is one of the steepest stadiums in the country. That means, you feel like you’re in the game, with the players. When your favorite player scores a goal and sprints to the corner afterwards, it feels even more like she’s celebrating the game-winner with you!
